AKMANOV, Irek Gayseyevich [b.19.8. 1933 in Derevnya Ryskulovo of Zianchurinsky Raion of the BASSR (Saraktashsky Raion of Orenburg Obl.)], Historian. Dr. of Historical Sciences (1981), Full Professor (1984). Merited Employee of the Russian Higher Education (2006), Merited Master of Sciences of the BASSR (1985). Laureate of the RB State Award in field of Science  and Technology (2003). Awarded with the Order of Peoples’ Friendship of the RB (2008). Graduated from the MSU (1957). Since 1962 works at the BSU (between 1981–86 as Dean of Department of History). Scientific studies are devoted to the problems of political and social and economic development of Bashkortostan in the 16–18th centuries, the history of Bashkir Uprisings of the 17–18th centuries.
