AKYARSKOYE RESERVOIR

AKYARSKOYE RESERVOIR, on the Tashla River (a tributary of the Tanalyk River). The dam site is 3.4 km from Selo Akyar of Khaybullinsky Raion. Built in 2000. Catchment area of the river in the cross- section of the water development — 423 km2, full volume — 49.4 million m3, surface area — 7.4 km2, length — 9.4 km, aver. width — 0.96 km, aver. depth — 6.6 m. Composition of the water development: medium-head earth- fill dam (length — 2.3 km, crest width — 10 m, height — 17.8 m), with a reinforced top slope, asphalt covering on the crest and bottom discharge; water bypass channel (length — 528 m, bottom width — 80 m), ice protection structure (length — 145 m).
