AMIROV, Gilvan Gilmutdinovich

AMIROV, Gilvan Gilmutdinovich (12.5. 1916, Ufa – 1.6.1991, Ibid.), Cameraman. Merited Cultural Worker of the RSFSR (1977), Merited Artist of the BASSR (1948). Completed a training course at the Vostokkino Yalta Film Factory (1932). Between 1933–41, he worked as an assistant cameraman at the Ufa Newsreel Studio of the Committee on Affairs of Cinematography at the USSR Council of People’s Commissars, then military cameraman at the 2nd Ukrainian front. In different years, he worked as a cameraman of the Ufa correspondent stations of the Kuibyshevskaya Newsreel Studio, at the Sverdlovsk film studio of scientific and chronicle films of the Committee for TV and Radio Broadcasting at the Council of Ministers of the BASSR. Front-line filmed news items by A. were included into the serial epic The Great Patriotic War (produced by the USSR–USA, 1979). A cameraman of the documentary films Soviet Bashkiria (1948), Steppe Batyr (1960). Filmed news items of A. about Bashkortostan such as Volga Region, Soviet Ural, News of the Day; TV films – We Draw (1965), Kolkhoz Economist, Merry Dolphin (both – in 1966), Urals the Healing Place, Shunkar (both – in 1969), etc – were demonstrated on Central TV.
