ARALBAY (Aralbayev), Kadim Abdulgalimovich (b.1.9.1941 in Derevnya Tanatar, Khaybullinsky Raion, BASSR). People’s poet of the RB (2011), Merited Cultural Sector Professional of the BASSR (1991). Awarded with the Order of Salavat Yulayev (2021). Laureate of the RB State Award named after Salavat Yulayev (1996). Member of the Union of Writers of the RB. Graduated from the BSU in 1968. Between 1973—77, Editor, Head of Department and Executive Secretary at the Agidel magazine. Between 1977—81, Secretary; between 1988—93 and 2009—12, Deputy Chairman at the Executive Board of the Union of Writers of the RB; between 1981—88, Instructor at Bashkir Oblast Committee of the CPSU. Since 1993, Chief Editor and since 1996 – Director at the Kitap Publishing House (all — in Ufa). Author of the following poetic collections: Fire Crossings (1975), Star of Love (1986), It’s Not Too Late (1989), Letters of Spirits (1995), The Voice of Tanalyk (2001), as well as the following science and popular collections: Mambetov Clan Shezhere (1994) and The Soldier Baits (1997). Author of the libretto to M.Kh.Akhmetov’s the Batyr’s Cry (1987) oratorio. The works of A. are translated into the Kazakh, Ukrainian, Chuvash and other languages. Chairman of the Ural Bashkir Folk Centre between 2002—04.
