ASANBAEV Nazhib [Nikolay Vasilyevich; 7.11.1921, Derevnya Akhmanovo of Belebeyevsky Uyezd, of Ufa Gub. (now Bakalinsky Raion of the RB) — 28.3.2013, Ufa]. People's Writer of the RB (2006). Merited Cultural Sector Professional of the RSFSR (1982) and Merited Art Worker of the BASSR (1977). Laureate of the BASSR Award named after Salavat Yulayev (1983). Awarded with the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st (1945) and 2nd(1985) Class, Order of the Red Star (1944), Order of Friendship (1997) and Order of Salavat Yulayev (2005). Member of the Union of Writers of the RB. Graduated from the Higher Lit. Courses under Lit. Institute named after M.Gorky (Moscow, 1963). Since 1949, had worked at the Krasnaya Zarya newspaper in Ufa. Since 1959, Director at Salavatsky Drama Theatre. Between 1963—65, Director at Bashkir State Academic Theatre. Author of the following works of drama: Raysa (1957), House with the bride (1980), Milyash­ Milyausha (1988), etc. Also, the author of the following stories and essays collections: Karim (1947), Valima (1953) and My Hero (1953). The Validi trilogy (2006) is dedicated to A.A.Validov. The Red Pasha (1982) play by A. scened by the BSAT was presented at the International Theatre Festival of Arab Countries (Damascus, 1986).
