ASKAROV, Salavat Akhmetovich (b.11.4. 1946,  Rabochy  Posyolok  Shafranovo  of Alsheyevsky Raion of the BASSR), Singer (bass). People’s Artist of the RF (2011) and BASSR (1984), Merited Artist of the RF (1998). Laureate of the RB State Award named after Salavat Yulayev (1992). Graduated from the Ufa School of Arts (1968), Kazan Conservatory (1980). Between 1969— 76, 1983—84 and since 1987, he worked as a soloist at Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, simultaneously since 1988 — as a Teacher at USIA. He has a rich and strong voice of wide range, bright stage appearance and artistry. He is the first performer of the bass part in Verdi’s Requiem (1994) and Stabat Mater by J.Rossini (1996), etc.
