ASLY-KUL
ASLY-KUL (in translation from Bashkir — a forked lake), a natural park of 47.5 thous. ha within the boundaries of Davlyanovsky, Alsheevsky, Belebeevsky, Buzdyaksky raions. It was organized in order to preserve the unique natural complexes of the lake, the rare animal and plant species, to organize recreation and tourism (1995). In the territory of the natural park there is the largest lake in the RB — Asylykul (surface area — 23.5 km2, length — 7.1 km, aver. width — 3.3 km, aver. depth — 5.1 m, max. — 8.1 m, volume of water — 119 million m3. The relief is represented by plain and hills. Meadow steppes are common, mixed broad-leaf forests and thickets of shrubs are less common.
