ASSY

ASSY, a balneological health resort. Located in Beloretsky Raion of the RB, 220 meters above the sea on the bank of Inzer River, near Selo Assy. It specializes in treatment of skin, musculoskeletal, nervous, digestive systems diseases and metabolic disorders. A. was established in 2001 in place of the balneary, which had been part of the local hospital sinсe 1959. Primary natural remedies used resources are the local mineral springs Assy (for remedial beverage – low mineralized sodium suplhate and chloride water, for balneotherapy – highly mineralized sodium chloride water) and the climate of the mountain forest zone. Assy-Tau skiing track is located near the health resort. O.Gazmanov, the People’s Artist of the RF, recreated in A. in 2001.
