AKHATOVA, Iraida Abubakirovna (b.10.1. 1946, Derevnya Mullino of Burayevsky Raion of the BASSR), Zootechnician. Associate Member of the AS RB (2012), Dr.-Sc. (Agriculture) (1995), Full Professor (1999). Merited Master of Sciences of the RB (1999), Merited Inventor of the USSR (1991, 1992). Awarded with the 2nd Class Order for Merits to the Fatherland (2011), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2016). Graduated from the BAI (1977). Since 1974, she worked at the Institute of Biology, since 1978 – at the Bashkir Horse Breeding Laboratory of the All-Russian Research Institute of Breeding, since 1988 – at the Bashkir Research Institute for Animal Breeding and Fodder Production, since 1992 – at the Bashkir Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture. In 1995– 2006 at BSAU, between 1996–99 and 2006–16 at the AS RB. A. developed the theory and technology for improving local breeds of horses, the instruction for valuation of the Bashkir breed of horses for years 2017–2040.
