BAKIYEV, Akhmet Vakhitovich [15.1.1 939 in Derevnya Chishma of Buzoviyaksky Raion of BASSR (now Karmaksalinsky Raion of RB) – 13.8.2016 in Ufa, buried at his birthplace], Mechanical Engineer. Acad. of the AS RB (1998), Dr. of Engineering (1985), Full Professor (1986). Merited Scientist and Engineer of the RF (1998) and of the BASSR (1989). Having graduated from the UPI (1960), he worked there (since 1974 as the Vice­Rector for extra­ mural and part­time education), at the same time being an Acad.­Secr. of the AS RB in the following departments: 1991—95 — Phys.­-Math. and Engineering Sciences, since 2000 — Oil & Gas, in 2006—16 — Earth and Nature Resource Sciences. His scientific activity is dedicated to research in the field of deformation and rupture mecha­ nics in inhomogeneous shells of revolution and the welding process theory. B. has developed machinery basic parts production technologies based on the principles of full interchangeability; welding technologies for items made of heat­resistant chromium­ molybdenum martensite steel which have been integrated in machines.
