BAKIYEV, Rim Sagitovich (b.4.1.1939 in Selo Novo­Turbasly of the Blago­ veshchensky Raion of the BASSR, now Derevnya Novye Turbasly of the same raion of the RB), Statesman. Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1986), Order of the Badge of Honour (1976), Order of Honour (1999). Graduated from the BAI (1963). Since 1967, Chief Engineer, Dir. of Stepanovsky State Farm of Bla­ goveshchensky Raion. Since 1990, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Council of People’s Deputies of Blagoveshchensky Raion. Since 1991, Gen. Dir. of the Bash­ kirskptitseprom Association. Since 1993 1st Deputy Chairman in the Council of Ministers, between 1994–99 Prime Minister of the RB. Head of the Republican De­ partment of the Fatherland All­Russia Political Society (1999–2002).
