BAKIROV, Akhat Bariyevich (b.17.2. 1952, Selo Chapayevo of Davlekanovsky Raion of the BASSR), Hematologist. Acad. of the AS RB (2012), Dr.Sci (Medical Sciences, 1996), Full Professor (1996). Merited Master of Sciences of the RB (2005), Merited Doctor of the RF (2002) and the RB (1995). After graduating from BSMI (1970), he continued his career there. Since 1979 worked in Ufa Hospital No.13, since 1984 – in Bashkir Obl. Committee of the CPSU, since 1989 – in BSMU (since 1992 Prorector for Medicine), simultaneously, since 1997 Dir. of Ufa Research Institute for Labour Medicine and Human Ecology. His scientific research is dedicated to the development of methods for immune dia­ gnostics and treatment of patients with acute and chronic leukoses. B. implemented immunochemical methods for the therapy of lymphoproliferative disorders and some occupational diseases. Chairman of the Therapists Association of the RB (since 1998).
