BANK SERVICING. Roughly, it can be divided into trategic  (investment  loans, bank cards, syndicated loans, mergers and acquisitions of credit institutions, opening of saving accounts), current, operative and specific (deposit, credit,  settlement ope­rations). Remote B.s. with utilization of computer and telephone networks is widely spread. The National Bank, 11 commercial banks, 37 branches and 30 representative offices and subdivisions of banks from other regions operated in the RB in 2010; in 2016 – 74 banks, in 2017 – 61 credit orga­ nizations. In the Republic, there is 1 banking office per 4 thous. people (4.3 thous. people in the RF).
