BATALOVA, Rima Akberdinovna [b.1.1. 1964 in Selo Sakty of Tuymazinsky Raion of the BASSR (Sharansky Raion of the RB)], Athlete. Merited Master of Sports (ath letics) of Russia (1992). Distinguished Athlete of the RB (1994). Awarded with the Order for Personal Courage (1992), the 4th Class Order for Merits to the Fatherland (2002), Order of Honour (1996), Order of Friend ship (2006, 2010), Order for Merits to the Republic of Bashkortostan (2000), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2004). A trainee of the Spartak Voluntary Sports Society (Ufa; Coach – P.Z.Buylov), 13-time Champion, 2-time Silver and 2-time Bronze Paralympic Games Medalist; 18-time World Champion; 43-time European Champion; 18time World Record holder among blind athletes. Member of the National Team (1981–2011). Deputy of the 6–7th Sessions of the State Duma of the RF.
