BASHIROV, Radik Minnikhanovich (b.7.1.1935 in Selo Vehkhniye Kigi in Kiginsky Raion of the BASSR), Mechanical Engineer. Associate Member of the AS RB (1995), Dr. of Engineering (1982), Full Professor (1983). Merited Scientist of the RF (1994), BASSR (1976), Merited Worker of Higher Vocational Education of the RF (1996). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1986). Graduated from the Bashkir Agricultural Institute (1959) and has worked there since 1961: in 1973— 84 – the Vice-­Rector for academic affairs, in 1988—99 — Rector. His research work is dedicated to development of theory and methods for the fuel feed process in systems with hydraulic accumulators, methods and instruments for density control in plunger pairs and discharge valves. B. has created a series of pump and nozzle designs, in­ cluding those with electronic control of the fuel injection process.
