BASHKIRIYA, small planet No. 2657. Average distance from the Sun  –  476 million km, min. distance from the Earth – 257 million km. Diam. about 17 km. Bright­ ness in conjunction:   16.3 of stellar magnitude. Discovered on Sep. 23, 1979 by N.S.Chernyh (the Crimean astro­phys. observatory), named after BASSR. In the RB territory it can be observed through a telescope with a lens in diameter of at least 30 cm.
