BASHKIR PHILARMONIA
BASHKIR PHILARMONIA named after Kh.Akhmetov, stateowned. Founded on January 20th, 1939 in Ufa; in 2009 it was named after Kh.F.Akhmetov. The first artistic managing dir. was M.K.Belo tserkovsky. G.S.Almukhametov played a significant role in opening and organizing the activities of the B.p. The first art group of the B.p. consisted of the Folk Dance Ensemble named after F.Gaskarov, choir, ensemble of kuray players, orchestra of folk instruments, wind orchestra, mobile ope retta group and 2 pop crews. The artists of the Bashkir Drama Theatre and the Bashkir Opera Theatre participated in the first con certs. In 1941, the music and literature lecture hall was established. In 1948, the Small Hall (now the Organ Hall) was opened; in 1969, the Choir Chapel of the RB was established. Between the 80–90s, the following groups appeared: ensemble Dustar, folk ensemble Yadkar, folk pop group CaravanSaray, theatre Funny and Comical (Kyzyk hem Mezek), variety groups Ikhlas and Dalan of F.R.Ganiyev, variety jazz orchestra, National Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the RB, etc. In 1987, an organ was installed in the Small Hall, where organ concerts were held regularly. The B.p. comprised ethnic rock group Argymak, ethnic jazz ensemble Orlan; the following new art groups were created: boys’ choir (2014), Theatre of Variety Miniatures Show of Laughter (Kolkeshow), pop group of Z.Isyanchurin, retrogroup Legends of Pop (all – in 2017).
The famous artists of the Philharmonia are: A.M.Aitkulov, L.P.Atanova, I.M.Ga ziyev, B.M.Gaysin, N.Zh.Kadyrova, F.A. Kildiyarova, F.Ya.Kudasheva, A.V.Sutyagin, A.S.Urazmetov.
In 1995, a branch of the B.p. was opened in Sibay; in 1998 – in Neftekamsk (ref. Philharmonias).
