BASHKIR  ENCYCLOPAEDIA

BASHKIR  ENCYCLOPAEDIA,  state autonomous scientific institution of the RB. Located in Ufa. Established in 1993. Main activities: research work  in  the  field  of general and regional encyclopaedic studies, history and technology of compilation of regional encyclopaedias, compilation and publication of encyclopaedic and linguistic reference literature, both in print and electronic versions. Every year B.E. issues approximately 100 scientific and popular science titles, including, but not limited to: Bashkortostan. Concise encyclopaedia (1996 in Russian, 1997 in Bashkirian), The Bashkir Encyclopaedia, Salavat Yulayev (2004), Military history of the Bashkirs (2013), Peoples of Bashkortostan (2014), Abzelilovsky Raion Encyclopaedia (2015), Bashkir Komsomol (2016) and others. B.E. has a subsidiary — OOO Bashakademkniga, Information and Education Centre. Since 2010 B.E. has published The Journal of Encyclopaedic Studies.
