BASHKIRENERGO, OOO for the production of electric and thermal energy. Founded in Ufa in 1933 as Bashenergo­ kombinat; in 1940, with the accession of Ufa TPP­1 and TPP­2 it was transformed into Ufa Energokombinat, since 1945 Ufim­ energo, since 1953 District Power Direc­ torate B., since 1990 Bashkir Production Group of Energy and Electrification, in 2012 reorganized to OAO Bashkir Electric Grid Company and OAO Bashenergoactive. A gas turbine plant based on an aircraft engine of electrical capacity 10 MW and thermal capacity 14.4 Gcal/h was created at B. in 1996 for the first time in the country; a system of integrated control of boilers and turbines using computer tech­ nology was developed; the problem of burning high­sulfur heavy residue in the boilers of electric power plants was solved for the first time in the industry; a scheme of ice melting on the wires of high­voltage lines with voltage from 6 kV and higher was developed; a non­deaerator thermal scheme, which has become typical for power units of large capacity, was tested; the technology of burning low­grade brown coals with high humidity and ash content was mastered; the steam and gas plant was built, allowing to produce electric energy with increased efficiency.
