BELOYE

BELOYE, a bayou lake in the basin of the Belaya River, 3 km SE of Selo Staroye Beloye Lake of Gafuriysky Raion in the territory of Belozyorsky Wildlife Reserve, a natural monument (1965). Surface area — 8.8 km², length — 6.2 km, width — 1.4 km, aver. depth — 3.9 m (max. — 11 m), volume of water — 34.5 million m³. Polygonum amphibium, Ranunculus acris, sedge, arrow­ head, horsetail, etc grow on the shore. It is inhabited by fish.
