BELORETSKY RAION
BELORETSKY RAION, located in the E of the RB. Established on August 20, 1930. Between 1963—65 B.r. consisted of Burzyansky, Uchalinsky and part of Ab zelilovsky raions. Territory — 11,346 km2; the most distant Raion in the Republic. Adm. centre — Beloretsk, which is located 250 km SE of Ufa. Population — 35.8 thous. people (2017).
In 2017, the area of agricultural lands amounted to 107.3 thous. ha (9.5% of the total area), including arable lands — 14.5, hayfields — 67.7, pastures — 24.6; forest area — 964.6 and surface waters — 4.5. Agricultural enterprises — 4,276 peasant (farmer) farms — specialize in the cul tivation of grain crops and forage crops, meat and dairy cattle breeding and horse breeding.
On the territory of the Raion, there are the following industrial forestry enterprises: territorial departments of Forest Adminis tration (Avzyanskoye, Beloretskoye, Inzer skoye and Tyrlyanskoye forestries), as well as 4 forestry enterprises (Avzyansky, Be loretsky, Inzersky and Tirlyansky). In the field of forest processing there are: OOO LZK Bashlesprom, OOO Bashkholts, OOO LPK Selena. Mining industry is represented by OOO Potentsial–Nedra, and a branch of Stroymeneral Plant. The Kuibyshev (Kar laman—Beloretsk Section), SouthUral (Mag nitogorsk—Beloretsk Section) railways and the following highways: Beloretsk—Ucha ly—Miass, Ufa—Inzer—Beloretsk, Sterlita mak—Beloretsk—Magnitogorsk (Chelyabinsk Obl.) and Sermenevo—Amangildino—Bay mak cross the territory.
There are: 18 general education schools, 13 preschool educational institutions, 8 rural outpatient clinics, 42 medical and obstetrical centers, the Assy Health Resort, The Arsk Stone, Agidel, and Tengre camps; 42 clubs, 40 libraries, the A.Mubaryakov Museum and the Z.G.Ismagilov Memorial House. In the Raion, there are 15 folk and 3 exemplary amateur art groups.
