BELYAYEV, Mikhail Andreyevich (1.6. 1930, Vladikavkaz – 6.12.1989, Uchaly), Mining Process Engineer. Candidate of Engineering Science (1981). Merited Metal lurgist of the BASSR (1987), Outstanding Employee of Public Education of the RSFSR (1987), the Best Inventor in the NonFerous Metals Industry of the USSR (1986). Laureate of the USSR Council of Ministers Award (1983, 1988). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1986), Order of the October Revolution (1981), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1971), Order of the Badge of Honour (1966). Graduated from the NorthCaucasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (Ordzhonikidze, 1955). Between 1962–66, he worked as Unit Manager of Sibay OreProcessing Plant, since 1974 – as Dir. of the Uchaly Ore Mining and Processing Plant. B. developed the methods of preparation and opening of the deposits of mineral resources; invented the method of selective flotation of copperzinc ores in the lime media without utilization of cyanide that has been used for the purpose at the mining and processing plants of the country.
