BERDEMLEK—SODRUZHESTVO

BERDEMLEK—SODRUZHESTVO, an International Ethnic Cultures Festival. Purposes: popularization of national arts, decorative­-applied arts and crafts; familiarization with the multinational culture and traditions of the peoples of Bashkor­ tostan, Russia, CIS and foreign countries; information exchange, etc. Between 1991— 2017, the festival was attended by approx. 300 delegations from more than 60 countries, including Hungary, Vietnam, Israel, India, China, Madagascar, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Turkey, Yugoslavia and others. Within the framework of the festival there are: the RB festival of harmony (Yanaul), the Waves of Agidel RB festival of national cultures (Agidel), the Constellation of Friendship folklore and ethnographic festival (Nefte­ kamsk; all —  in  2009),  Salavat  Yiyiny folklore and ethnographic festival (Salavatsky Raion, 2017), traditional sabantuys, etc. In 2015, the celebration was included in the program of the SCO and BRICS summits. This festival is included in the cultural events global calendar of the CIOFF (2015) — Council of International Organizations of Folk Festivals and Arts. Gala concerts of the festival are held in Ufa. In 2017, B. was held within the framework of the Culture of Russia Federal Target Program  and  preparation  for  the World Folklore Festival – 2020.
