BEREZIN, Vsevolod Leonidovich (16.12. 1922, Selo Rozhdestvenskoye of Tambov Gub. – 3.8.2016, Moscow), Mechanical Engineer. Merited Acad. of the AS RB (1995), Dr. of Engineering (1970), Full Professor (1969). Merited Scientist and Engineer of the RSFSR (1984), BASSR (1968), Merited Worker of the Oil & Gas Industry Facilities Construction Ministry of the USSR (1982) and RF (1995), Gas Industry of the USSR (1983), Oil Supply of the RSFSR (1982), Higher Vocational Education (2002), Fuel and Energy Ministry (2002) of the RF, Merited Oil Worker of the USSR (1985). Laureate of the USSR Council of Ministers Award (1983), I.M.Gubkin Award (1971, 1979). Awarded with the 2nd Class Order of the Patriotic War (1985), Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1980), Red Star Order (1944, 1947), The Order of the Badge of Honour (1967, 1986). Participated in the Great Patriotic War. Graduated from the Moscow Gubkin Pet roleum Institute (1951). Since 1955 he has worked at the UPI: since 1957 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, since 1964 Rector. Since 1970 has lived and worked in Moscow. His research activity is devoted to design, construction and overhaul of trunk pipelines.
