BIKBULATOV, Nail Valeyevich [14.2. 1931, Derevnya Etbayevo of Argayashsky Raion of the BASSR (Argayashsky Raion of Chelyabinsk Obl.) — 18.4.1996, Ufa, buried in Derevnya NovoSobolevo of Argayashsky Raion of Chelyabinsk Obl.], Ethnographer. Candidate of Historical Sciences (1965). Between 1957—93, he worked at the Institute of History, Language and Literature. Scien tific studies are dedicated to the study of social and family relations, decorative-applied arts, etc, problems of ethnogenesis of Bashkirs. Organizer, leader and participant of more than 40 ethnographic expeditions in the Volga-Ural region, Central Asia, Mountain Altai, etc. One of the creators of the ethnograhic photo library (more than 12 thous. units) of the History, Language and Literature Institute and the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography.
