BLAGOVARSKY RAION
BLAGOVARSKY RAION, located in the central part of the RB. Established on January 31st, 1935. Abolished on Feb ruary 1st, 1963, the territory became part of Chishminsky Raion. Newly established on December 30th, 1966. Territory — 1,688.15 km2. Adm. centre — Selo Yazykovo, which is located 70 km W from Ufa and 14 km N from the Blagovar Railway Station. Population — 25.3 thous. people (2017).
In 2018, the area of agricultural lands amounted to 145.6 thous. ha (86.3% of the total area), including arable lands — 94.7, hayfields — 10.3, pastures — 42.7; forest area — 12.2 and surface waters — 0.7.
Agricultural enterprises [15 OOOs, including OOO Bashkir Meat Company, Bashkir Agroinvest, Blagovarsky Breeding Centre, 52 peasant (farmer) farms] specialize in the cultivation of grain and grainlegume crops (buckwheat, barley, winter rye, spring and winter wheat and peas), sugar beet, sunflower, meat and dairy cattle breeding, pigs, sheep and birds breeding. Beekeeping is welldeveloped. There is a veterinary station, forestry enterprise on the territory. Also, there are: AO Transneft–Ural dispatching stations for the oil and petroleum products transfer, Road Construction and Maintenance Administration, etc. Kuibyshev Railway (Tuymazy—Chishma Section) and highways: Samara—Ufa—Chelyabinsk and Chishma—Yazykovo—Chekmagush cross the territory.
There are: a branch of Buzdyak Agricul tural College, 17 general education schools, including 10 secondary; 20 preschool edu cational institutions, House of Children’s (Youth’) Technical Activities, Children’s and Youth’ Sports School, Children’s Tourism and Local History Health Educational Centre; central hospital and 4 rural outpatient hospitals, 30 medical and obstetrical centers; 26 clubs, 16 libraries; the History and Ethnography Museum, and a children’s school of arts. There are 8 folk and 5 exemplary amateur art groups.
