BOLOTIN, Yuri Alexandrovich

BOLOTIN, Yuri Alexandrovich (11.9. 1930, Rabochy Posyolok Tirlyan of Belo­retsky Raion of the BASSR, now Selo Tirlyansky of the same raion of the RB, – 7.8.2002, Sibay), Mining Geological Engineer. Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1978). Laureate of the USSR State Award (1980). After graduating from the Kazakh Mining and Metallurgical Institute (Alma­-Ata, 1959), he worked at Bashkir­ geologiya Production Association; between 1966–69 – in Cuba. Scientific and professional activities are associated with prospecting and exploration of copper­sulphide deposits in the Bashkir Trans­-Urals.
