BORISOVA, Ninel Andreyevna (b.7.11. 1924 in Birsk), Neurologist. Merited Acad. of the AS RB (1995), Dr.Sci (Medical Sciences) (1972), Full Professor (1973). Merited Master of Sciences of the BASSR (1967). Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1971). After graduating from the BSMI (1947), she continued her career there, simultaneously, between 1967–90 Chief Neurologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the BASSR. Her scientific research is dedicated to occupational and vascular cerebral diseases, degenerative diseases of the nervous system determined by ecology and genetics. B. developed and implemented methods of treatment and prevention of syringomyelia, vascular diseases of the brain. Chairman of the Bashkir Division of the Russian Neurologists’ Society (since 1966).
