BURAYEVSKY RAION
BURAYEVSKY RAION, located on the NW of the RB. Established on August 20, 1930. Territory — 1,814 km2. Adm. centre — Selo Burayevo, which is located 152 km N of Ufa and 68 km SE of Yanaul Railway Station. Population — 21.9 thous. people (2017).
In 2017, the area of agricultural land amounted to 128.6 thous. ha (71% of the total area), including arable lands — 80.5, hayfields — 18.7, pastures — 29.1; forest area — 37.1, surface waters — 3.1. Agricultural enterprises [10 OOOs, more than 50 peasant (farmer) farms] specialize in the cultivation of grain crops, meat and dairy cattle, sheep, and horse breeding. There is a forestry enterprise on the territory of the Raion. There are: oil fields, local Administration of OAO Gaz Service, OOO Kapello, and Road Construc tion and Maintenance Administration. The Ufa—Birsk—Yanaul, Buraevo—Starobalta chevo—Kueda (Perm Obl.), and Dyurtyuli– Buraevo highways cross the territory.
There are: a branch of Bashkir North Western Agricultural College, 14 general education schools, 2 preschool educational institutions, 2 supplementary schools, 13 groups of preschool education, children’s school of arts; a central hospital and rural outpatient clinics, 48 medical and obstetrical centers; 40 clubs, 27 libraries, the R.Ga liyeva Central Palace of Culture. In the Raion, there are 14 folk and 3 exemplary amateur art groups.
