VALIYEV, Ruslan Zufarovich
VALIYEV, Ruslan Zufarovich (b.26.9.1949 in Posyolok Losiny of Sverdlovsk Oblast), Physicist. Associate Member of AS RB (1991), Dr.Sci. (Phys.Math.) (1984), Full Professor (1987). Merited Scientist of the RF (2003) and the RB (1997). Laureate of the RB State Award in the field of Science and Engineering (2015) and the Bashkirian Komsomol Award (1977). Graduated from the Ural Polytechnical Institute (Sverdlovsk, 1971). Since 1973 has worked in USATU: since 1980 in spec. design-engineering bureau “Tantal”, since 1995 — as Sci. Supervisor and Dir. of the Institute of Physics of Advanced Materials, at the same time in 1986–95 at the Institute for Metal Superplasticity Problems (in 1988–91 Deputy Dir. for science). His research activity is dedicated to studies of atom and crystal structure of solid bodies, to physics of strength and plasticity of metals and alloys. V. has developed methods of obtaining 3D nanostructural materials and discovered the phenomenon of non equilibrium grain boundaries formation in polycrystals as they absorb lattice dislocations (jointly with O.A.Kaibyshev).
