VASILEVSKY, Andrey Leonidovich

VASILEVSKY, Andrey Leonidovich (b.21.7.1966 in Ufa), Athlete. Merited Master of Sports (2005), Merited Coach (2015; ice hockey) of Russia. Awarded with the Order for Merits to the Republic of Bashkortostan (2003), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2015). A trainee of the Specialist Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve Salavat Yulayev (Coach — V.I.Vorobyov). He played for the Salavat Yulayev team (1987–89, 1999–2001). Silver (2003) and Bronze (2007) Medalist of the Deaflympics. The World Champion (2004) among vete­ rans, the Europe Champion (2004) among deaf athletes. Member of the Russian National Team (2002—07). Since 2010 he has been Head Coach of the Russian deaf team.
