VAKHITOVA, Yuliya Venerovna (b.17.10. 1973 in Ufa), Molecular Biologist and Pharmacologist. Associate Member of the RAS (2016), Dr.Nat.Sci. (Biology) (2007). A daughter of V.A.Vakhitov. Graduated from the BSMU (1996). Since 1999, she has worked in the Institute of Biochemistry and Genetics (IBG). Her scientific research is dedicated to search of new substances that are potential clinical candidates, study of drug exposure on molecular level, role of neurotransmitters in the function regulation of immune competent cells. V. has developed test systems for early preclinical screening of chemical compositions libraries for their further development as therapeutic agents.
