VETERANS (PENSIONERS) OF WAR, LABOUR, ARMED FORCES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES ORGANIZATION

VETERANS (PENSIONERS) OF WAR, LABOUR, ARMED FORCES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES ORGANIZATION, the Bashkir republican public organization. Established in Ufa in 1987. Regional branch of the All­-Russian public organization of Veterans (Pensioners) of War, Labour, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies. The Conference (convened every 5 years) is the supreme authority. The Council (Plenum) convenes in the intervals between the conferences. The Organization unites local councils of veterans and primary veteran organization. Main directions of activity include veterans’ and pensioners’ rights and interests protection, advancement of their medical and household services improvement, etc. The Organization supports various celebrations, including Victory in the Great Patriotic War anniversary, war veterans and home front workers meetings with the youth, etc.
