GAZPROM NEFTEKHIM SALAVAT, OOO (Salavat), a subsidiary of OOO Gazprom Pererabotka (St. Petersburg). Produces the products of oil refining (unleaded gasoline, diesel fuel, toluene, bitumen, heavy residue, etc) and petrochemistry (petroleum benzene, polystyrene, polyethylene, butyl alcohols, solvents, etc), mineral fertilizers (ammonium nitrate, ammonia, carbamide). Founded in 1948 as Combine No.18, since 1966 Salavat Petrochemical Combine, since 1980 Salavatnefteorgsintez, since 2011 Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat. The Company is using 30 technological processes, developed and implemented in production for the first time in the country; production of expandable polystyrene – for the first time in the world, aerogel – the only in the country, carbamide, methylethyl ketone – for the first time in the USSR. The company is the monopolist in the RF in the production of butyl alcohols, dioctilphthalate plasticizer, styrene. Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1971).
