с (23.3.1956, Rabochy Posyolok Yanaul of Yanaulsky Raion of the BASSR, now Yanaul, — 29.10.1996, Ufa), Singer (baritone), Public Figure (music). People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1989) and BASSR (1983). Laureate of the Award named after G.Salyam (1983). Graduated from the USIA (1983). Since 1980, he worked in Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre (between 1990—95 its Dir.), simultaneously between 1991—95 — a Lecturer at USIA. G.’s artistic skill was distinguished by high professionalism, original interpretation of works of different styles and genres. He possessed bright acting talent, stage presence, beautiful voice of warm mellow timbre. The manner of G.’s performance of chamber music that occupied a significant place in his creative work was characterized by special warmth and sincerity. He sang Bashkir and Russian folk songs and romances artistically and with inspiration. He was the first among modern singers to glorify the Art of Bashkortostan on the international level by triumphant performance of folk song Uralym (My Ural) at the Red Carnation International Festival (Sochi, 1983; Grand Prize). G. became widely popular after he sang the aria of Mr. X (Princess of the Circus by I.Kalman) and appeared on Russian TV. In Yanaul, there is a monument to G.
