GARIFULLIN, Farit Sharifullovich (20.12.1928, Derevnya Staroye Kucherbayevo of Belebeyevsky Сanton of the BASSR, now Selo Starokucherbaevo of Blagovarsky Raion of the RB, — 16.8.2018, Ufa), Agronomist. Merited Academician of the AS RB (1995), Doctor Science (Agriculture) (1984), Full Professor (1985). Merited Master of Sciences of the RF (1996) and BASSR (1976). After graduating from the BAI (1952), he worked at the Institute of Biology. Between 1980–2009 at the BSAU (between 1983–90 as Vice‑Rector for Scientific Research). Scientific research is dedicated to the study of the peculiarities of the soil formation process, caused by the economic activity of man, fertility, agrophysical properties of soils of the Republic. He participated in the soil and erosion zoning of the territory of the BASSR (1976), in compiling the soil map of the BASSR (1975). Deputy of the 11th Session of the Supreme Council of the BASSR.
