BAKING SODA. The production of B.s. was mastered in Bashkortostan in the 60s at the Sterlitamak Soda‑Cement Plant by means of the ammonia technology. It is used in the manufacturing of non‑alcoholic beverages, bakery and confectionery products, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishing compositions, etc. The RB produces 87% of the B.s. output of the RF (2016).
