BASHKIR MEAT COMPANY, ООО, a major producer of pork in the RB, breeder of Yorkshire, Duroc, and Landrace pigs, a selection and genetic centre. Founded in 2011, B.M.C. is a member of Tavros Group. It incorporates such modern pig‑breeding complexes as Dmitrievka, Mirny (Blago‑ varsky Raion), and Smychka (Chishminsky Raion) and reproduction and feeding areas (the total capacity is — 47 thous. t of live weight pork per year). The number of pigs is 233.9 thous., incl. 15.6 thous. female pigs; output — 48.7 thous. t in live weight. The pig crop of 1 female pig is 38 heads per year, survival  —  85%,  meat  yield  per 1 female pig — over 3.5 t per year. B.M.C. won the Golden Pivot — 2018 National Award among energy consumers.
